SIX PRACTICAL DIRECTIONS

Progress has a starting point.

01

Purposeful saving

Choose one household goal, a target date and an affordable amount to set aside. Review the plan monthly against actual income.

02

Enterprises that keep records

Separate household and business money. Record income and costs, and reduce waste before expanding.

03

Skills and opportunity for everyone

Budget for training or improving an existing skill. Include women and young adults in household financial discussions.

04

Farming prepared for changing seasons

Record seed, input and transport costs. Plan for the period before harvest and seek local expertise on protecting soil and water.

05

Safer use of technology

Use your phone to keep records and learn. If the SACCO confirms a digital service, ask for its official access instructions; keep PINs and OTPs private.

06

Participation and accountability

Ask how to participate in member meetings, obtain information and raise a concern. Keep your transaction records.

YOUR NEXT 90 DAYS

Start with one goal.
Keep checking your progress.

01

Days 1–30

Record where money comes from and where it goes. Choose one realistic goal.

02

Days 31–60

Try a saving routine that fits your means. Discuss your prepared questions with the SACCO.

03

Days 61–90

Compare your plan with what happened. Adjust your approach for the coming months.
